Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's outdoor track and field team brought home four individual NJAC Titles and finished 5
th at the 2021 NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The meet was hosted by Ramapo College at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners tallied 64 points in the meet.
Chris Andersen was crowned NJAC Champion in both the 1,500-meter and 800-meter races. He defended his title in the 800m run when he clocked in at 1:54.08. His time is an AARTFC qualifier. In the 1,500-meter race, he posted another AARTFC qualifying time of 3:57.80. His time in the 1,500-meter race is 3
rd all-time at Ramapo and a personal best. This also makes the 6
th straight NJAC Outdoor Championship meet that Ramapo has taken home the title in the 800-meter race.
Steven Fiumefreddo took home the NJAC Title in the 5,000-meter run, the first of his career, when he crossed the finish line in 15:07.09, his time qualifies him for the AARTFC meet.
Mohamed Nidaazzi placed 6
th overall in 15:34.66.
Cheickna Traore won his first NJAC Title in the 400-meter dash with an AARTFC qualifying time of 48.41 seconds. He also placed third overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.07 seconds.
Max Dubac placed second overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.34 seconds. His time is 5
th all-time at Ramapo and a personal best.
The 4x400-meter relay team grabbed a third-place finish when they clocked in at 3:26.04. The team was made up of Andersen, Dubac,
Kenyon Fenderson and Traore.
The Roadrunners will return to action at the Last Chance Meet hosted by TCNJ on May 15th.
