Box Score Camden, NJ: The #5 seeded Ramapo College women's soccer team challenged the #1 seeded Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers Camden today in the semi-final match-up of the NJAC Championships as they dropped a tough 1-3 pairing on the road. With the loss the Roadrunners wrap up the season at 1-2-1 overall. Rutgers Camden advances to the finals and improves to 5-0-1.
Rutgers Camden got on the board first in the game as Breana Winder put a ball past the Ramapo net minder off an assist by Lindsay Hernandez at 29:04 to take the 1-0 lead. The score would stand until half time as Ramapo held a slight 5-4 advantage in shots.
In the second half, the Roadrunners tied the game at the 53:31 minute mark when
Lauren Vladyka scored her second of the season. The Scarlet Raptors responded with a goal just under three minutes later from Amanda Giordano and Maggie Horn added insurance with about 12 minutes to go in the game. The score held until the buzzer as Rutgers Camden took the game, 3-1.
