Union, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team split their dual meet on the road to open the 2021-2022 season. The Roadrunners defeated Baruch College (142-56) while they fell to host Kean University in NJAC conference action (91-135).
The 200-yard medley relay team took first with a time of 2:00.72.
Taylor Gray won the 100-yard breaststroke when she touched the wall in 1:09.41 while
Carissa Campbell placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:35.35.
Camila Mercado finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 30.45 seconds and Campbell won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.03. Gray won her second event of the evening when she clocked in at 31.84 seconds in the 50-yard breaststroke and Campbell finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:06.99. Mercado finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:09.66 while Gray took second in the 100-yard IM (1:06.39).
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 30th when they travel to the College of New Jersey for a NJAC meet starting at 1pm.
