Box Score New York, NY: The Hunter College men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-16) in non-conference action. The Hawks improve to 6-3 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 7-5 on the year. The Hawks snapped the Roadrunners seven match win streak.
The Hawk were led by Christian Maisonet and Qendrim Shala who each collected ten kills in the match while Blake Hogan recorded nine. Alec Helford posted 32 assists while Hogan and Cyrus De Guzman led the team on defense with six digs each. De Guzman and Helford each recorded three blocks. The team hit .370 in the match with 35 total kills on 73 attempts and just eight errors.
Ramapo was led by
Stephen Codispodo who tallied seven kills while
Jason van der Wilt collected six in the match.
Josh Titus led the team in assists with 21 and digs with nine while
Tyler Plitt collected six digs for the team.
Sean Burke posted two assisted blocks while
Conor Charlow tallied five kills, five digs and one block. The team recorded 24 total kills in the match.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, February 19th when they host Skyline/NJAC rival New Jersey City University at 7pm. The Roadrunners will also be celebrating the College's 50th Anniversary with free giveaways to the first 50 Ramapo students wearing maroon who come to the game.
