Mahwah, NJ: The Widener University women's swim team defeated Ramapo College 159-103 today in non-conference action. The Roadrunners now stand at 3-5 overall while Widener moves to 6-4 overall.
Carissa Campbell won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:38.26 while
Taylor Gray took home first place in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.86. Gray also grabbed a first-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.98) while
Grace McCrone placed second (2:45.19) and
Madison Riccardi placed third overall in 2:46.74.
Eliza Pluckhorn placed second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.36) while
Fiona Misiura placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:20.78. Misiura also placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (27.12) while Pluckhorn clocked in at 2:19.16 in the 200-yard backstroke for a second-place finish.
The 200-yard medley relay team placed second overall when they clocked in at 1:57.22. The team was made up of Pluckhorn, Gray, Misiura and Oliva Davis. The 200-yard freestyle relay team also placed second when they clocked in at 1:48.74. The team was made up of Pluckhorn, Gray, Campbell and McCrone.

Ramapo will host their final home meet of the season on Tuesday, January 28th when they take on William Paterson University in NJAC action at 6pm.
