Mahwah, NJ:  The Montclair State University women's swim team defeated Ramapo College 165-95 today in New Jersey Athletic Conference action.  The Red Hawks improve to 5-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference.  The Roadrunners now stand at 3-4 overall, 1-3 in the NJAC.
 
Yara Hassan captured first place in the 100-yard breast with a winning time of 1:10.71 while Taylor Gray was right behind her hitting the wall at 1:11.52.  Fiona Misiura finished first place in the 200-yard butterfly hitting the wall at 2:19.91.  Gray placed first in the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:31.95.  Misiura grabbed another first-place finish in a close race in the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:01.38 while Red Hawks' Margaux Winchock was right behind her hitting the wall at 1:02.38.  The 200-yard medley relay team placed second overall in 1:57.56, the team was made up of Eliza Pluckhorn, Hassan, Misiura, and Kiersten Farrell.  The Red Hawks team in first place finished with a time of 1:55.42.  Carissa Campbell placed second in both the 1,000-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle with a time of 11:36.49 and 5:38.48 respectively.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 25 at 2:00pm when they host Widener University.
