Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team earned their third straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament as they were awarded an at-large bid this afternoon. The 64-team bracket was announced early this afternoon on ncaa.com. All other tournament information will be updated here as it becomes available.

The Roadrunners (18-9), the only at-large team in the Newport News Pod, will travel to Christopher Newport University and take on Alfred University (23-4) on Friday, March 1
st at 5:30pm. The Saxons are winners of the Empire 8 and are in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1997. The Captains are making their 23
rd appearance in the tournament and fourth straight. They will host Albertus Magnus College (20-7) in the second match-up on Friday night at 7:30pm. CNU won the CAC conference while the Falcons won the GNAC conference and are making their seventh appearance in the tournament.
This is the ninth trip to the NCAA Tournament in program history for Ramapo (1991, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018) and eighth under head coach
Chuck McBreen. Ramapo has advanced to the Final Four twice (1991 & 2018), Elite Eight (2003) and Sweet 16 (2005).
The Roadrunners are led by senior duo
Rob Lewis and
Kashaun Barnes who each earned NJAC All-Conference honors. Lewis was named NJAC First Team All-Conference while leading Ramapo this season with 14 double-doubles. He is second on the team with 444 points, 16.4 per game while he leads the team with 285 rebounds, 10.6 per game. He has started all 27 games while shooting 53% from the field (152-283) and 76% from the free throw line (139-181). Barnes earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference and leads the Roadrunners with 473 points, 17.5 per game while he has started all 27 games this season. He is third on the team with 128 rebounds while adding 52 assists, 35 steals.
Sixteen sites will host four teams for first and second-round competition Friday-Saturday, March 1-2. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional-round sites March 8-9. Winners of the four sectional games will advance to the semi-finals and finals March 15 and 16. All games, except the semi- finals and finals, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions. The semi-finals and finals will be conducted at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN.
