#4 RAMAPO HOSTS #5 WPU IN NJAC TOURNAMENT

First 500 RCNJ Students w/ID get in FREE!

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's basketball team will host #5 William Paterson University in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday, February 16th at the Bradley Center. The game will begin at 3pm.

The first 500 students with a valid Ramapo ID card will be let in FREE to the game. The Center for Student Involvement and the Student Government Association will be sponsoring a pre-game pizza party in the Bradley Center spectator lobby. The event, open to all Ramapo students, will start at 2:17pm ahead of the 3pm game on Saturday in honor of the team's 17 regular season wins!
 
Ramapo wrapped up the regular season with a 17-8 overall record and earned the #4 seed in the tournament. Ramapo and WPU split their regular season games against each other, each winning on their home court. The Roadrunners will be eyeing their third straight NJAC Championship and sixth in program history. The winner of the NJAC Tournament will earn the league automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Roadrunners have advanced to the NCAA Tournament eight times in program history including two Final Four appearances (1991 & 2018).
 
Three NJAC teams were ranked in the second published NCAA Regional rankings that were released earlier this week with records through games played as of Feb. 10th. The Roadrunners remain 3rd in the region behind 2nd ranked Rowan University while New Jersey City University is ranked #1 in the region. Ramapo defeated NJCU in the final regular season game on Wednesday night 74-66.
 
Tickets for the NJAC Tournament first round game at Ramapo will be sold at the Bradley Center beginning at 2pm on Saturday. Ticket prices for all rounds of the NJAC Men's Basketball Championship are $5.00 for adults; $2.00 for students (with ID); senior citizens and children. All ticket sales are cash only.
