New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's indoor track & field team competed at the TCNJ Winter Opener tonight at the New York Armory.
Cheickna Traore won the 300-meter dash with a new school record time of 34.83 seconds.
Andrew Sanchez placed sixth (36.31) and Nazzim Patilla finished in eighth (36.92). In the mile,
Peter Petropoulos clocked in at 4:32.20 for a fourth-place finish and personal best.
Charlie DaSilva won the 1,000-meter run in 2:32.95 while
Max Dubac finished in seventh place in 2:41.01.
Gabe Tapia-Suarez grabbed a second-place finish and personal best in the 5k run when he clocked in at 15:48.57.
In the field,
Danny Simpson grabbed a third-place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 12.92-meters while he also placed 13th overall (5.93-meters) in the long jump. Two Roadrunners placed back-to-back when
Greg Kleinow (13.01-meteres) and
Lucas Logue (11.90-meters) placed fourth and fifth respectively in the weight throw.
Alec Mabie posted a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles when he clocked in at 8.84-meters for a ninth-place finish.
The 4x400-meter relay team clocked in with an AARTF Championship qualifying time of 3:26.31, they finished first in their head and first-place overall.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 11th when they travel back to the Armory for the TCNJ Invite.
