Glassboro, NJ: The Rowan University women's swim team defeated Ramapo College 207-55 today in NJAC action. The Profs improve to 4-1 overall and remain undefeated in the conference at 4-0. The Roadrunners now stand at 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Fiona Misiura captured a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a winning time of 1:02.38 while the Profs' Nicole Harms touched the wall in second place in 1:02.77. Fiona also finished in second place in the 200-yard butterfly in anotheer close race, with a time of 2:15.91 while Rowan's Veronica Alferez finished first in 2:15.55.
Carissa Campbell placed third in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:32.01 while
Yara Hassan placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.86. Campbell also placed third in the 500-yard freestyle when she clocked in at 5:39.90 while the 200-yard freestyle relay team placed third overall in 1:48.35. The team was made up of
Breanna Gleason, Campbell, Misiura and
Kiersten Farrell.
The Roadrunners will return to action on November 22nd -24th when they travel to the F & M Invite hosted by Franklin and Marshall College.
