Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned the #2 seed in pod three of the 2019 ECAC Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament. This is the fifth appearance in the tournament under head coach
Robert Pichardo while they won the tournament in 2015.
The Roadrunners (13-7) will take on #3 Cedar Crest College on Wednesday, November 13th at 7pm in the Bradley Center. The Falcons earn their first-ever ECAC tournament bid in program history as they enter with a 15-10 overall record. The winner will advance to play McDaniel College on Saturday, November 16th at 5pm as the four second round matches will be played at Marywood University.
Ramapo has been led by senior outside hitter
Morgan Ridgway this season, she recently was named NJAC Second Team All-Conference. Ridway leads the team with 206 kills, 3.07 per set. She's also posted 21 aces, which is tied for 4th on the team along with eight assists and 13 blocks while she is second on the team with 196 digs. Senior libero
Karina Almeda was named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Year and leads the team with 437 digs, 6.33 per set while also posting a .958 passing percentage. She is second on the team with 27 service aces while also posting 70 assists and five kills. Almeda recently posted a single-match career best of 43 digs in a conference match against WPU. She was also named October ECAC Metro Defensive Player of the month.
