Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team defeated St. Joseph's College Brooklyn (186-32) while they fell to Drew University (92-158) today in non-conference action. The Roadrunners now stand at 3-1 overall.
Yara Hassan and
Taylor Gray went 1-2 in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:13.23 and 1:13.83 respectively. In the 1,000-yard freestyle,
Carissa Campbell placed second in 11:52.63 while
Eliza Pluckhorn placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:06.49. Gray won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:38.78 while
Grace McCrone posted a second-place finish in 2:41.63.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team placed second overall in 4:02.56. The team was made up of
Pamela Santos,
Grace McCrone,
Eliza Pluckhorn and
Brittany Goodman. The 200-yard medley relay placed second during the meet with a time of 1:58.98. The team was made up of Pluckhorn, Hassan,
Fiona Misiura and
Kiersten Farrell.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to NJAC rival the College of New Jersey on Saturday, November 2nd for a meet at 1pm.
