Chester, PA: The Widener University women's swim team defeated Ramapo College 169-93 today in non-conference action. The Pride improve to 8-4 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-8 on the season.
Carissa Campbell won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:31.42 while she placed second in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:35.64.
Sarah Stacey places second in the 200-yard freestyle as she clocked in at 2:08.25 while
Eliza Pluckhorn posted a time of 1:04.79 in the 100-yard backstroke for a second-place finish.
Grace McCrone and
Brittany Goodman went 2-3 in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:15.75 and 1:17.15 respectively.
Fiona Misiura placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:16.88 before Stacey placed second overall in the 100-yard freestyle in 59.78, and
Olivia Davis placed third in 1:00.56. Pluckhorn (2:25.23) and
Kiersten Farrell (2:26.46) posted second and third place finishes in the 200-yard backstroke. Misiura posted a second-place time in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.58 while the 400-yard freestyle relay team placed second with a time of 3:58.71. The team was made up of Breana Gleason, Campbell, Davis and
Brittany Goodman.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, January 29th when they travel to William Paterson University for the final NJAC meet of the season at 6pm.
