Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team defeated non-conference rival Drew University 152-109 today at the Adele and Reuben Thomas swimming pool. The Roadrunners improve to 4-6 overall in their final dual meet of the season while the Rangers drop to 5-5 overall.
The 200-yard medley relay team posted a convincing win when they clocked in at 1:53.98. The team was made up of
Julia Housel,
Eliza Pluckhorn,
Meghan Trewhella and
Maggie Herbert. Housel won the 100-yard backstroke when she touched the wall in 1:00.38 while
Kassandra Warmuz and
Aiyana Alfinez went 1-2 in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:13.10 and 1:15.09.
Breanna Gleason won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:21.51 while Herbert won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.12. Herbert also won the 100-yard freestyle when she touched the wall in 54.24 .10 tenths of a second over the Rangers. Housel posted a first place finish in the 200-yard backstroke when she clocked in at 2:11.26 while Warmuz and
Grace McCrone went 1-2 in the 200-yard breaststroke with times of 2:40.84 and 2:43.97 respectively.
Meghan Trewhella won the 200-yard IM in 2:20.38 and the 200-yard freestyle relay team won with a time of 1:42.55. The team was made up of Herbert, Gleason, Housel and Trewhella.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to the Metropolitan Conference Championships at Rutgers University on February 16-18th.
