Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's basketball team will travel to Williams College for the first and second rounds of the 2018 NCAA Tournament on March 2nd and 3rd. The Roadrunners will open up against Moravian College on Friday, March 2nd at 5:30pm while the Ephs will take on Bridgewater State University at 7:30pm. The two winners will advance to the second round on Saturday, March 3rd at 7pm. More information on ticket sales will be announced at a later time. Williams is the #1 seed, Ramapo is the #2 seed, Moravian is the #3 seed and Bridgewater State is the #4 seed in this part of the bracket.

Purchase tickets in advance of the game on Wednesday, 2/28 and Thursday, 3/1 from 12pm-2pm in the Bradley Center game room.

Fan Bus:
The Center for Student Involvement is sponsoring a fan bus for RCNJ Students to the game on Friday. Seats are reserved on a first come first serve basis. Bus leaves at 1pm from in front of the Bradley on Friday.
RCNJ students with ID MUST purchase their game ticket to reserve a seat on the fan bus. Tickets are $5 students, $10 adults. Cash only!!

Ramapo enters the NCAA Tournament after winning their second consecutive New Jersey Athletic Tournament Title on Saturday with a 67-59 win to earn the league's automatic bid. The Roadrunners posted an undefeated record at home this season at 12-0 while they currently stand at 21-6 overall. The Roadrunners won back-to-back NJAC Regular Season and Tournament Titles. This is the programs 8th appearance in the NCAA Tournament (1991, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2017). The Roadrunners made an appearance in the 1991 Final Four game, the 2003 Elite Eight game and the 2005 Sweet 16. Ramapo enters the Tournament on a three-game win streak and are led by three NJAC All-Conference selections in
Thomas Bonacum,
Christopher Moseley and Defensive Player of the Year,
Josh Ford. Bonacum leads the way with 376 points and a team high 203 rebounds while Moseley has recorded 365 points and a team high 31 blocks. Ford has recorded 255 points, 68 assists and 21 steals and has helped the Ramapo defense to hold opponents to 67.6 points per game this season.

Williams College will serve as the host for the NCAA First & Second Rounds; enter the Tournament as the automatic qualifier from the North England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC). The Ephs enter the Tournament ranked #8 in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll won their fifth NESCAC Title and first since 2010. The Ephs also make their 14th NCAA Tournament appearance (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013 & 2014). Williams won the NCAA Championship in 2003 while they have been to seven NCAA Final Four games (1997, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2010, 2011 & 2014). James Haskett who leads the team in scoring with 526 points this season for the Ephs while Bobby Casey has recorded 420 points. Matthew Karpowicz has pulled down a team high 149 rebounds while he also leads the team with 30 blocked shots.

Moravian College enters the NCAA Tournament as the automatic qualifier from the Landmark Conference and earns their third appearance in the Tournament (1983 & 2008). Moravian defeated #1 Juniata College as the #2 seed 81-78 to capture the conference championship. The Greyhounds have a record of 20-7 overall and finished 2nd in the Landmark Conference regular season at 10-4. The Greyhounds have two players who have scored over 400 points this season in Oneil Holder (471 points) and Jimmy Murray (434 points) while Holder has grabbed a team high 212 rebounds.

Bridgewater State University enters the NCAA Tournament as the automatic qualifier from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) and earns their eighth appearance (1983, 1999, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014) in the Tournament and first since 2014. The 2008-2009 team advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. The Bears, who finished 2nd in the MASCAC regular season, hold an overall record of 18-9 and have won their last two games. Bridgewater St. also has two players who have scored over 400 points this season as Rayshon Ward leads the team with 420 points and Rocky DeAndrade has recorded 410 points. Joseph Carty leads the team with 291 rebounds.
Forty-three conferences have been granted automatic qualification for the 2018 championship, while 21 other at-large teams from the remaining independent teams and automatic-qualifying conferences who did not receive their conference automatic qualification (Pool C) were selected by using specific selection criteria approved by the Division III Championships Committee. Sixteen sites will host four teams for first and second-round competition Friday-Saturday, March 2-3. Second-round winners will advance to one of four sectional-round sites March 9-10. Winners of the four sectional games will advance to the semi-finals and finals March 16 and 17. All games, except the semi-finals and finals, will be played on the campuses of competing institutions. The semi-finals and finals will be conducted at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va.
