Mahwah, NJ: The women's swim team defeated Widener University 148-114 today in non-conference action. The Roadrunners improve to 2-6 overall while the Pride drop to 6-3 overall.
The women's 400-yard medley relay team won with a time of 4:13.96. The team was made up of
Julia Housel,
Kassandra Warmuz,
Breanna Gleason and
Maggie Herbert. Herbert won three individual events in the meet. She won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.97 while she won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.69, over a second faster then the second place finisher. She beat the Pride to the wall in the 100-yard freestyle with a winning time of 55.56; the second place finisher, Christine Kunzler of Widener posted a time of 55.67.
Housel and
Eliza Pluckhorn went 1-2 in the 100-yard backstroke with times of 1:00.92 and 1:03.74 respectively. Warmuz won the 100-yard breaststroke when she clocked in at 1:13.07 while Housel won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:12.77. Pluckhorn placed second in the same event with a time of 2:20.77. Gleason (2:21.65) and Pluckhorn (2:22.34) went 1-2 in the 200-yard IM while the 200-yard freestyle relay finished second with a time of 1:45.36. The team was made up of Housel, Warmuz,

Meghan Trewhella.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, January 30th when they host NJAC rival William Paterson University at 6pm.
