FIELD HOCKEY FALLS AT BRYN MAWR

Box Score Bryn Mawr, PA:  The Ramapo College field hockey team fell to Bryn Mawr College this afternoon 1-0 on the road. The Owls remain undefeated at 2-0 while the Roadrunners even their record at 1-1 overall.

The Owls only recorded five shots (four on goal) in the game but one found the back of the net in the 53rd minute (52:44) as they took a 1-0 lead. Leia Robinson scored her first goal of the season off a pass from Abigail Lua to put Bryn Mawr on the board after a scoreless first half.

The Bryn Mawr defense kept the Roadrunners scoreless the remainder of the game to earn their second win of the season. Emily Wisneski collected three saves for Ramapo while Angela Meng did not need to record a save in the shutout win for the Owls. The Owls also collected 13 penalty corners while the Roadrunners tallied two in the game.

Ramapo will return to action on Thursday, September 7th when they take on Saint Thomas Aquinas College at 4pm on the Athletic Center Turf Field. During the 2016 season the Roadrunners topped STAC on the road 1-0 in OT. Gianna Mouskourie put in the game winning goal in OT while Wisneski recorded nine saves in the win.
