The Roadrunners won the New Jersey Athletic Conference Title (NJAC), the fourth in program history, to earn the conference's automatic bid. The Roadrunners are 7-6 all-time in NCAA play and they are currently 13-0 at home this season. Ramapo has advanced to the Final Four (1990-1991), the Elite 8 (2002-2003) and the Sweet 16 (2004-2005). The Roadrunners will begin their NCAA run on Friday when they take on Misericordia University at 7:30pm.
NJAC Player of the Year, junior forward Thomas Bonacum was asked his thoughts on being able to host the NCAA Tournament at Ramapo, "It's huge for us, its huge being in your own gym, being able to sleep in your own bed and to eat your own cafeteria food. It seems small but it's huge for us. At the end of the day we get to play in front of our home crowd, which was huge for us in the conference tournament. We expect it to keep going, it's very important to have home court advantage in a big game with the significance of the NCAA tournament."
