Ewing, NJ: The College of New Jersey women's swim team defeated Ramapo College 169.5-90.5 today in NJAC conference action. The Lions improve to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
The 400-yard medley relay team made up of
Julia Housel,
Grace McCrone,
Meghan Trewhella and
Breanna Gleason placed second with a time of 4:15.74.
Maggie Herbert won the 200-yard freestyle by more then five-seconds in 2:01.33 while Housel and
Eliza Pluckhorn finished 1-2 in the 100-yard backstroke with times of 1:01.38 and 1:03.78 respectively. Herbert also won the 50-yard freestyle (24.94) and the 100-yard freestyle when she touched the wall in 55.48. Trewhella placed second in the 50-yard freestyle event with a time of 25.62. Housel also captured a win in the 200-yard backstroke when she clocked in at 2:15.45. Trewhella finished in second place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.82 while the 200-yard freestyle relay team placed second when they clocked in at 1:43.52. The team was made up of Trewhella, Houses, McCrone and Herbert.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to NJAC rival Rowan University on November 11th for a meet beginning at 1pm.
