Mahwah, NJ: The Arcadia University women's swim team defeated the Ramapo College Roadrunners 135-125 today at the Adele & Thomas Swimming Pool. The Roadrunners open the season 0-1 overall while the Knights improve to 2-0 overall.
Ramapo won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:54.85.
Eliza Pluckhorn,
Grace McCrone,
Meghan Trewhella and
Maggie Herbert made up the team. Herbert started right where she left off the 2016 season as she won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.48 while she also won the 50-yard freestyle (24.91) and the 100-yard freestyle in (54.89).
Julia Housel earned a first place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.48) while McCrone won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:13.49. Housel also won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:15.76 while Pluckhorn clocked in at 2:20.23. McCrone recorded her second individual win on the day in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:40.57.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 28th when they host Kean University at 2pm.
