Box Score 4 Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team earned three wins today with victories over Medaille College, Sarah Lawrence College and St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn. The Roadrunners improved to 9-8 on the year and 7-1 in the Skyline conference.
The Roadrunners defeated Medaille 3-0 (25-23, 26-16, 25-20) in the first match of the day. Medaille earned votes in the latest AVCA Men's Volleyball Top 15 Poll. Ramapo hit .337 in the match with 39 kills on 83 attempts with only 11 errors.
Paul Close led the team with 12 kills on 29 attempts with only two errors, hitting .345 in the match.
Justin Feigeles posted 11 kills on 21 attempts and four errors, hitting .333.
Mikhael Erushalimski dished out 31 assists while
Nick Amos recorded four kills, one solo block and four assisted blocks.
Spencer Shickora led the team on defense with nine digs while Erushalimski added seven of his own.
Medaille's Jack Hagerty led the team with ten kills on 20 attempts with only three errors, hitting .350 while Nate Schneider added seven kills of his own. Matt Dempsey posted a team high eight digs and 17 assists in the match. The team hit .139 in the match with 38 kills on 101 attempts and 24 errors.
In their second match of the day, Ramapo defeated Sarah Lawrence (0-6, 0-4 Skyline) in a conference match 3-0 (25-2, 25-4, 25-7). Ramapo hit .528 as a team with 23 kills on 36 attempts and four errors. Close led the team once again with six kills on seven attempts with only one error, hitting .714 for the match. Erushalimski dished out 19 assists while Shickora led the team on defense with seven digs. Amos collected four total blocks to lead the team including three assisted blocks.
Connor Brandow also hit .714 in the match with five kills on seven attempts with no errors. The team tallied 15 service aces in the match as Amos led the team with five and
Justin Feigeles posted four.
In Ramapo's final match of the day, the Roadrunners defeated St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 3-0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-10). Â The Bears now stand at 2-7 overall, 1-5 in the Skyline. Ramapo was led by Feigeles who tallied eight kills and two aces while Close added six kills and led the team with eight digs. Erushalimski recorded 24 assists, five digs and two assisted blocks. Amos added three kills, three aces and three blocks. The team his .422 in the match with 33 kills on 64 attempts with only five errors.
St. Joseph's College Brooklyn defeated Sarah Lawrence (0-7, 0-5 Skyline) in the third match of the day 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-15). The Bears were led by Clyde Delacruz with seven kills on 11 attempts and only two errors for a .455 hitting percentage in the match. Norrin Martinez tallied 18 assists while Thomas Kennedy led the team on defense with 15 digs. Thomas Ambrosino and Alec Smalley each added seven digs in the match. Sarah Lawrence was led by Callan Moore who posted six kills on 22 attempts with no errors. Richard Warke dished out a team high 12 assists while Isaac Gamboa added a team high 12 digs on defense and Gavin Spilker recorded eight digs.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Hunter College on March 1st for a match at 7pm.
