Brenda Arthur led the Ramapo College women's swim team over non-conference rival Lehman College today at the Athletic Center 112-75. The Roadrunners improve to 2-2 overall while Lehman falls to 2-4 overall.
Arthur set a new school record in the 400 IM when she won the event in 4:55.03. She broke a record that has stood since 2010. The 200-yard medley relay team posted a winning time of 1:59.32 to earn 11 points for the Roadrunners. The team was made up of
Julia Housel, Arthur,
Meghan Trewhella and
Grace McCrone. Trewhella and
Lene Sansone went 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 2:12.13 and 2:13.76 respectively.
J. Housel (1:03.77) and
Cara Housel (1:08.28) went 1-2 in the 100-yard backstroke while McCrone collected a first place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:15.34. Arthur also won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.08 while J. Housel came in second place with a time of 26.73.
Sarah Stacey won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.12.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Montclair State University on January 21st at 1pm.
