Box Score 2 Purchase, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team posted two wins today against Skyline opponents Purchase College and The Sages. Ramapo swept both teams, first defeating Purchase, 3-0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-18) before dropping The Sages, 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-23). With the two wins the Roadrunners improve to 15-12 overall and 10-1 in the conference.
Marinus Tavernier led the Roadrunners in match one against Purchase with six kills while
Matt Goldberg,
Connor Brandow and
Jake Matreale each contributed five kills. The team hit a combined .625 with 34 kills on 48 attempts with just four errors. Alec Weismann dished out 42 assists and Goldberg led the defense with five digs.
In their second win of the day over The Sages,
Justin Feigeles led the way with a .474 hitting performance with 11 kills on 19 attempts and just two errors. Tavernier collected seven kills on ten attempts and one error hitting .600. Weissman assisted on 17 points and Tavernier recorded six total blocks. Ramapo hit .171 in the win with a combined 34 kills.
Kurt MacDonald picked up a team leading 17 digs.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, March 25th when they host Kean University at 7pm in a Skyline Conference match-up.
