Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned the #4 seed in the upcoming NJAC Women's Volleyball Tournament. The Roadrunners will host #5 Rowan University on November 3rd at 7pm in the Bradley Center. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults; $2.00 for children, students, and senior citizens.
This is the 11th straight trip to the playoffs for the Roadrunners and head coach Rob Pichardo. The winner of the #4/#5 match will advance to take on #1 seed Stockton University on November 5th in the semifinal at 7pm. The Ospreys are the defending NJAC Champions and swept conference regular season matches this season. The title game is set for November 7, at the highest remaining seed.
The Roadrunners have been led this season by sophomore
Larysa Iwaskiw. She recently became the all-time kills leader at Ramapo College with her 863 kill earlier this season. Iwaskiw has tallied 416 kills during her sophomore season so far including 5.62 per set with a .242 attack percentage. She also leads the team in aces (46) and digs (303). Juniors
Emily Guzman and
Rachel Selmore have collected 141 kills and 102 kills respectively this season while senior
Cathryn Smart has added 91 of her own. Guzman is second on the team with 25 aces while she leads the team in solo blocked shots with 14. Senior
Kaitlin Mac Iver leads the team with 630 assists while she's also recorded 18 aces and 27 kills. Senior
Emily Harris collected 239 digs and a .939 passing percentage while rookie
Kristen Behrens has recorded 200 digs and a .963 passing percentage on defense.
