Mahwah, NJ: The Lady Roadrunner swim team fell just short to the Hawks of New Paltz today, 127.5-134.5, to fall to 4-2 overall on the year.
The Roadrunner 200-yard medley relay team, made up of
Danielle Bach, Allie Van Glahn,
Brenda Arthur, and
Maggie Herbert placed 1st overall in 1:53.08 for 11 points.
Lauren Keller took 1st place in the 200-yard freestyle race. She clocked in at 1:57.79 for nine points for the Roadrunners.
Bach also took home a 1st place finish in the 100-yard backstroke for nine points. She touched the poolside in 1:03.25, just tenths of a second ahead of
Julia Housel, who placed 2nd overall in 1:03.91. Keller took 1st place in the 50-yard freestyle sprint in 24.87 seconds, while Herbert took home a 1st place of her own in the 100-yard freestyle in 54.39 seconds for nine points.
Housel clocked in at 2:18.48 for nine points, and a 1st place ribbon in the 200-yard backstroke, and Keller won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:28.16. The 400-yard freestyle relay team rounded out the top performers of the day placing 1st overall, clocking in at 3:43.40 for 11 points.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 24th, when they host Montclair State at 2pm. Prior to the meet the seniors will be honored.
