Box Score 1 Hoboken, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team split in their final day at the Stevens Invitational. The Roadrunners fell to host Stevens, 0-3 (12-25, 15-25, 12-25) while they defeated the United States Coast Guard Academy, 3-2 (25-20, 22-25, 20-25, 25-19, 19-17).
In their first match of the day against Ramapo, rookie
Larysa Iwaskiw led the Roadrunners with nine kills. Junior
Cathryn Smart added four kills while sophomore
Emily Guzman tallied two kills of her own. Junior
Emily Harris led the team with 12 digs, including one assist and one ace. Rookie
Sarah Mulligan posted 11 digs in the match while junior
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out ten assists. The Roadrunners only were able to hit .037 as a team in the match.
In their match against the United States Coast Guard Academy, Ramapo came back to win in five sets. Iwaskiw posted a team and season high 37 kills on 86 attempts. She also posted 19 digs and one ace. Rookie
Amanda Rose collected eight kills while Smart added ten kills of her own. Guzman recorded seven kills and one solo block in the match. Mac Iver dished out a team high 36 assists while sophomore
Nicole Herrmann added 18 of her own. Harris collected 26 digs to lead the team while Mulligan added 21 digs of her own. Senior
Katelyn Ward recorded two blocks, two kills and three digs.
The Roadrunners improve to 15-6 overall and return to action on Tuesday, September 30th when they host NJAC rival Montclair State University at 7pm.
