Box Score 2 Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent tonight, 3-0 (25-16, 25-9, 25-21) at the Roadrunner Invitational.
Ithaca College defeated the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the first match of the night, 3-0 (26-24, 25-9, 25-19). Joelle Goldstein led Ithaca with 13 kills as she hit .357 on the night. Kayla Gromen posted a team high 15 digs while Maggie Mutschler added ten of her own. Molly Brown dished out 18 assists and Carly Gargone posted 12 assists in the match.
CMSV was led by Ashleigh Scozzari with six kills and five digs. Nicole Henderson tallied 12 digs, ten assists and two aces.
In match two, Ramapo was led by
Larysa Iwaskiw who tallied 13 kills, six aces and nine digs.
Emily Guzman posted eight kills as she hit .316 in the match.
Amanda Rose and
Rachel Selmore added four kills a piece while
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out 25 assists, six digs and one ace.
Emily Harris led the team with 15 digs.
Scozzari tallied five kills for CMSV while she added 11 digs and two blocks. Jane Greer added four kills while Henderson tallied 12 assists and eight digs. Kristine Javier recorded 13 digs of her own in the match.
All three team return to action tomorrow at the Bradley Center. Ramapo and Ithaca square off at 10am before St. Joseph's LI and Ithaca will play at noon. The Roadrunners will wrap up the day at 2pm against St. Joseph's LI.
