RAMAPO VOLLEYBALL GETS TWO CONFERENCE WINS

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Mahwah, NJ:  Men's volleyball posted two Skyline Conference wins tonight over Sage, 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-13) and NYU-Polytechnic, 3-0 (25-6, 25-10, 25-12) to improve to 23-9 overall and 11-2 in the conference.
 
Senior Brian Colabella led the Roadrunners with eight kills on 13 attempts and only two errors, hitting .462, in the three set sweep over Sage (7-17, 6-6 Skyline).  Fellow senior Nick Hrehovcik and rookie Ryan Casci each collected seven kills, as the team collected a combined 42 kills on 86 attempts.  Ramapo hit .395 on the night.  Senior setter Andrew Balint and rookie Alec Weissman spilt the setting duties as Balint dished out a team leading 24 assists, while Weissman added ten to the mix.  Balint recorded three service aces, while the team's defense was led by Casci, who picked up five digs on the day.  Senior Mike Kane put down five total blocks including two solo.
 
Sage's Dylan Krowicki led the offense with 11 kills and Matthew DeGeyter collected a team leading 17 assists, as the team hit a combined -0.41 with 18 kills on 73 attempts and 21 errors.  Cory Gransbury led the defense with seven digs.
 
In Ramapo's second match-up of the evening, Jake Matreala collected a team leading nine kills with just one error on ten attempts, hitting a team leading .800 in a win over NYU-Polytechnic (5-20, 2-8 Skyline).  Colabella and Evan Carey added six kills each, while Hrehovcik added five of his own.  The team hit a combined .478 with 41 kills on 69 attempts and eight errors.  Balint collected 13 assists and Weissman added 21, while Peter Desvousges led the defense with eight digs. 
 
Fild Kroqi led NYU-Poly with three kills as his team went 10-67 with 20 errors hitting -.149.  Rishi Sarkar dished out six assists and Yong Song led the defense with five digs.
 
Ramapo takes on Yeshiva University when they return to action on Tuesday, April 8th, at 8pm at the Bradley Center.  Ramapo's six seniors will be honored prior to the start of the match.
