Box Score Union, NJ: Ramapo men's volleyball fell to the Cougars of Kean University tonight, 0-3 (23-25, 22-25, 21-25), in a tough Skyline Conference match-up on the road. With the loss, the Roadrunners fall to 21-9 overall, 9-2 in the conference. The Cougars sit at #1 in the conference with an 11-0 record, 21-7 overall.
The two teams equally pounded out 38 kills but it was the Cougars who came out on top as they hit .228 as a team, ahead of Ramapo's .153. Bez Arslani led Kean with 14 kills and John Cunningham added ten, while Ron Dunn dished out 30 assists in the win. Ed Jedziniak led the team's defense with nine digs and Dunn put down four total blocks.
Ramapo's
Mike Kane led the team offensively with nine kills as all Roadrunners were held to single digit kills.
Nick Hrehovcik,
Brian Colabella, and
Ryan Casci all added six kills on the night. Senior setter
Andrew Balint dished out 35 assists and Colabella picked up a team leading nine digs.
Ramapo takes on the Sages and NYU-Polytechnic when they return to action on Sunday, April 6th at the Bradley Center at 5:30 and 7:30pm respectively.
