Box Score 2 River Forest, IL: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team picked up two wins today over Domincan University, 3-1 (25-23, 28-26, 22-25, 31-29), and MSOE, 3-0 (25-15, 27-25, 25-18), to improve to 18-7 overall on the year. With the two victories the Roadrunners wrap up their Spring Break tour and head back to New Jersey, where they will face off with Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, March 26th at 6pm at the Bradley Center.
In their first match-up of the day verse Domincan University, Ramapo's rookie opposite,
Ahjon Petty, led the team's offense with 27 kills, hitting .357, with just seven errors on 56 attempts.
Brian Colabella collected ten kills as the team hit a combined .242, with 62 kills on 153 attempts and 25 errors. Senior setter
Andrew Balint dished out a team high 47 assists, while Petty, who led the offense, also led the defense with ten digs for the double-double. Senior
Nick Hrehovcik picked up eight digs of his own in the win. Balint put away three service aces and
Mike Kane led the team with five total blocks.
Against, MSOE, rookie
Ryan Casci led the team with nine kills hitting .538, as Ramapo went 37-73 with 15 errors hitting .301. Kane collected six kills and Balint assisted on 30 points with a team leading 30 assists. The team's defense was led by rookie libero
Kurt MacDonald, and Kane collected two total blocks with one ace and one dig.
