Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swimming team defeated the College of Staten Island today, 141-74, in a non-conference meet. The Roadrunners improve to 2-1 overall while the Dolphins fall to 0-2 overall.
The 400-yard medley relay team made up of
Julia Housel,
Megan Fosko,
Brenda Arthur and
Margaret Herbert took home a first place finish in 4:13.28 while the 'B' team made up of
Caitlyn Bach,
Allison Van Glahn, Jamie Ann Stein and
Maria Luisi placed second overall in 4:33.01.
Lauren Keller took home a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.88) while
Devan Swistack finished in third place overall (2:13.23). Van Glahn clocked in at 1:14.45 in the 100-yard breaststroke while Fosko places third overall (1:15.55).
In the 50-yard freestyle, Herbert out-touched Keller for a first place finish with times 24.77 and 25.23 respectively while Bach placed third overall in 26.76. Keller finished first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.71 while Luisi placed third overall (1:04.19) and
Megan Clark finished in fourth overall (1:06.18).
The Lady Roadrunners return to action on November 15th when they travel to the University of Scranton at 1pm.
