Montclair, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team fell to NJAC rival Montclair State University today, 97-161. The Roadrunners fall to 3-4 overall, 0-2 in the conference while the Red Hawks improve to 6-4 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC.
The meet was moved to Montclair on Friday evening after a malfunctioning boiler in Ramapo's Bradley Center caused the pool water to drop to below normal temperatures.
Ramapo's 200-yard medley relay team, made up of
Maggie Nagle, Allison Van Glahn,
Brenda Arthur and
Kari Lefebvre captured a first place finish when they touched the wall in 1:58.87.
Lefebvre finished in third place in the 200-yard freestyle race in 2:06.86 while Nagle placed first overall in the 100-yard backstroke as she clocked in at 1:04.42.
Jamie Stein took home a second place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (2:16.99) while Nagle clocked in at 2:21.60 for a second place finish in the 200-yard backstroke.
Kylie Suydam finished in second place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:45.73.
Brenda Arthur was second overall in the 100-yard butterfly.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday when they host NJAC rival William Paterson University at 6pm.
