Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team earned their first NJAC win of the season with a 5-1 victory over New Jersey City University today at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners improve to 3-6 overall, 1-1 in the NJAC while the Gothic Knights fall to 1-4-1 overall, 0-1 in the NJAC
The Gothic Knights got on the board first with a break away goal from Jillian Pecina in the 6th minute of the game before the Roadrunners scored to tie the game at 1-1. Sophomore
Alexa Ragusa scored her second goal of the year as she took a pass from senior
Katie Popowych in the 11th minute.
Ramapo would take the lead in the 22nd minute (21:22) when sophomore
Autumn Herring scored her team leading third goal of the season off a pass through the box from senior
Liz Samimi.
In the first half Ramapo held a 19-1 advantage in shots while NJCU goalie recorded nine saves.
In the second half, Ramapo scored three goals to take a 5-1 lead. Sophomore

Talia Auslin earned the win as she collected one save. Brittany Hoffman collected 20 saves in the game for the Gothic Knights.
Ramapo returns to action against Rutgers-Newark University on Saturday in a NJAC game begining at 1pm.
