Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team fell short, 0-2 today to non-conference foe, St. Joe's, LI, falling to 1-5 overall on the year. The Golden Eagles improve to 4-1 overall.
The Golden Eagles got on the scoreboard first when Joann Murino posted an unassisted goal at 26:17, ripping a shot past the Ramapo netminder.
Despite being held to no goals, the Roadrunners out shot the Golden Eagles, 12-4 in the first 45 minutes of play.
In the final half of the game, the Golden Eagles took a two-goal advantage after Jamianne Eden took a pass from Jessica Cordano in the 70
th minute. The score held until the final buzzer giving St. Joe's the 2-0 victory.
Ramapo held a 10-2 advantage in shots in the final half.
Itati Aburto made just one save in goal for Ramapo and Cristiana Votta made nine saves in goal for the Golden Eagles.
