Box Score Madison, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's soccer team (0-2) fell to tournament host FDU-Florham today, 2-1.

The Devils got on the board in the first half with a goal by Samantha Messina off an assist from Michelle Hickey in the fifth minute. The Devils led 1-0 heading into halftime. FDU held a 7-3 advantage in shots in the first half and a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.

In the second half sophomore Autumn Herring scored the first goal of the season for the Roadrunners in the 54th minute to tie the game at one all.

Seven minutes (60:46) later Messina would connect with Hickey once again to put the Devils in the lead for good, 2-1. The Devils led in shots in the second half, 6-4 while the Roadrunners led in corner kicks, 3-1.

Senior Talia Auslin collected seven saves for Ramapo in goal.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 7th when they travel to the Drew Tournament. Ramapo will take on Elms College at 3:00pm.
