Box Score 2 Owings Mills, MD: The #2 seeded Ramapo College men's volleyball team wrapped up the 2013 season today as the runner up in the ECAC South Championship Tournament. The Roadrunners defeated #3 seeded York College, 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-18, 25-17) in their semi-final match-up, before falling to #1 seeded Stevenson, 0-3 (19-25, 21-25, 20-25). With the split today the Roadrunners finish the year at 20-12 overall.
Rookie
Peter Desvousges led the team hitting .300, with 14 kills on 30 attempts with five errors, while
Brian Colabella collected 12 kills and
Chris Sidnam nine. The team combined hitting .209, with 49 total kills on 134 attempts with 21 errors. Senior setter
Harsh Prajapati dished out 36 assists and junior
Aaron Kerschner led the team's defense with 18 digs. Desvousges picked up ten digs of his own for the double-double. Sidnam recorded a team leading five assisted blocks.
In the finals, junior
Nick Hrehovcik led Ramapo with eight kills and
Mike Kane recorded six, as Prajapati contributed on 29 points. Ramapo hit a combined .108 with 33 kills on 120 attempts and 20 errors. Kerschner recorded 21 digs and Prajapati picked up 11.
Ramapo returns all but two to the 2014 roster. Congratulations and good luck to seniors
