Chris Sidnam led the Ramapo College men's volleyball team to two Skyline Conference victories today, first over Yeshiva University, 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-9). Ramapo went on to defeat the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University, 3-1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-16, 25-21), to improve to 5-0 in the conference and 6-4 overall.
Sidnam first collected 14 kills on 21 attempts with five errors, hitting .429, in the sweep over the Maccabees, as the team hit a combined 41-64 with only ten errors, across the three set match. Ramapo hit .484 as a team in the win.
Aaron Kerschner put away eight kills with no hitting errors, while recording five serving aces, and
Harsh Prajapati collected a team leading six service aces, while dishing out three assists in the match.
Mike Kane added seven kills and
Tyler DeBoer chipped in five, while Prajapati and
Peter Desvousges recorded four and three respectively. Ramapo posted 22 points on service aces in the win.
In the team's second win of the day, Sidnam again led the Roadrunners' offensive game collecting 16 kills, hitting .257, in the four-set match win over NJCU. Ramapo went 54-129 with 23 errors, hitting .240 on the day. Desvousges recorded 12 kills with ten digs for the double-double, while DeBoer hit a team leading .615, with eight kills on 13 attempts with no errors. Prajapati assisted on 47 points and Kerschner picked up a team leading 18 digs. Kane came up big on defense putting up seven total blocks.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, February 23rd when they host Lancaster Bible at the Bradley Center at 4pm.
