Box Score Wayne, NJ: The #16 Ramapo College men's basketball team fell to NJAC rival William Paterson University tonight on the road, 60-61 in the final game of the regular season. The Roadrunners now stand at 21-4 overall and 15-3 in the NJAC while the Pioneers improve to 16-9 overall and 11-7 in the conference.
The Roadrunners clinched the regular season championship and the #1 overall seed in the upcoming NJAC Men's Basketball Tournament. Ramapo will host the semifinal round on February 19th at 7:00pm in the Bradley Center against the winner of #4 William Paterson and #5 Rutgers-Newark University. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults: $2.00 for students, children, and senior citizens.

Elgin Brown led the team with 16 rebounds and eight points.
Ramapo led, 28-23, heading into the locker room at halftime before the Pioneers were able to battle back in the second half for a one point victory, 61-60. Ramapo went up by nine in the second half with a made three-pointer from Thiel, 36-27 (17:49) before WPU cut the lead to four, 40-36, with 15:13 on the clock. Sanborn came down and nailed a three for the Roadrunners, 43-36, that started a 6-2 run capped off by a made foul shot by Brown to go up eight, 46-38, (12:17). WPU then went on a 12-0 run to take a four point lead, 50-46 with 5:59 left in the game. An and-one play for Treadwell cut the WPU lead to one, 50-49 (5:21) before Rick DeStefano nailed a three-pointer of his own to regain a four point WPU lead, 53-49 (4:55). A mini five point run by Ramapo put the Roadrunners back up by one, 54-53 (3:05) before DeStefano drained another three-pointer for WPU to regain the lead, 56-54, with 2:46 left to play.
Sanborn hit a jumper for Ramapo to tie the game for the fifth time, 56-56, with 2:29 on the clock before DeStefano sank his third three-pointer for WPU with 1:45 on the clock for a 59-56 lead. Thiel would sink both foul shots before Lance Brown drained a jumper for the Pioneers to take a, 61-58, lead with 1:02 left to play. Treadwell would make both of his foul shots with 53 seconds left in the game to come within one, 61-60. Ramapo's Brown came up with a big block on defense that went out of bounds in Ramapo's favor before the team called a timeout with 17 seconds on the clock. The Roadrunners were able to get two shots off in the final seconds of the game before WPU came up with a defensive rebound with three clicks left on the clock to come away with a 61-60 victory.
