FOUR ROADRUNNERS SCORE IN DOUBLE FIGURES IN 93-84 WIN

Box Score Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's basketball team (3-3 overall, 2-2 NJAC) defeated NJAC rival Montclair State University (2-4 overall, 1-2 NJAC) tonight at the Bradley Center, 93-84.

Four Roadrunners scored in double figures in the win as Terry Hicks led the team with 22 points along with four assists and two steals. Frank Nock and George Sapp each scored 15 points while Nock added four assists and three steals. Jermaine Emanuel added 14 points and a team high six assists and two steals. Ramapo shot 54% (30-55) from the field in the game, 52% (9-17) from beyond the three-point line and 80% (24-30) from the foul line.

The Red Hawks also had four players score in double figures. Ordel Goldson led the team with 25 points while Daniel Singleton added 23 points off the bench along with nine rebounds. Kevin McGorry added 13 points while Erick Lofton-Harris posted ten points of his own. Lofton-Harris dished out a team high six assists. MSU shot 49% from the field (31-63).

After MSU scored the first point of the game the Roadrunners went on a 14-2 run to regain the lead, 14-3 with 15:47 on the clock, the run was capped off by a lay up from Hicks. MSU would cut the lead to one five different times in the half the final being with 7:35 on the clock, 33-32, off a made three from Angel Gonzalez. The Roadrunners stretched their lead to seven, 43-36, on a three from Emanuel (2:39). The Red Hawks scored the final points of the half as the Roadrunners went into the locker room up six, 48-42.

Ramapo would lead by ten, 58-48 (17:38), in the second half before MSU would cut the lead to two, 62-64 with just over thirteen minutes to play in the game. Ramapo began to pull away with just under seven minutes to play. They went on a mini 4-0 run to take a 15 point lead with just 3:46 left to play on a made foul shot from Elvonney Poole, 91-76. MSU would go on a 8-2 run to end the game but the Roadrunners would hold onto the nine point victory, 93-84.

Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, December 10th when they host Farmingdale State in a non-conference game at 7pm.
