Loren Jackson to take a 27-12 lead (7:23). The Cougars cut the lead to 19 (24-43) with 2:01 left in the first half before Ramapo was able to head to the locker room up 24, 50-26 as freshman
George Sapp sank a three-pointer as time expired. The Roadrunners shot 45% (17-37) from the floor, 50% (3-6) from beyond the three point line and 72% (13-18) from the foul line.
Ramapo started the second half on a 7-2 run as they led by 29, 57-28. They led by as many as 34 points twice in the game the final time coming with 14:10 on the clock off a made basket from senior
Terry Hicks, 68-34. With five minutes to go in the game the Cougars shrunk the Ramapo lead to 17, 57-74 before Ramapo went on a 10-5 run to end the game and come away with the 22 point victory, 84-62.
Ramapo shot 39% (29-72) from the field in the game and 31% (5-16) from beyond the three-point line and 70% (21-30) from the foul line. Ramapo also forced 34 Cougar turnovers in the game.
Emanuel also posted four assists and a team leading five steals in the game while Sapp tallied 13 points, three assists and three steals. Hicks finished the game with seven points, two assists and two steals.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host NJAC rival Rutgers-Camden University on Wednesday at 7:30pm.
