Box Score Ewing, NJ: The #3 Lions of the College of New Jersey women's soccer team defeated #6 Ramapo College today in the opening round of the 2013 NJAC Women's Soccer Tournament at Lions Stadium.
The Lions (15-2-1) advance to take on rival #2 Rowan University (16-2) on Tuesday, November 5th at 7pm. The Roadrunners end their season at 8-11 overall. This was the first NJAC Tournament appearance in the history of the program for Ramapo.
TCNJ would score early for the 1-0 lead as Korrie Harkins was able to hit the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season in the ninth minute of the game (8:15). Sarah Marion assisted on the game winning goal.
Ramapo was able to hold off the Lions as they head into halftime. TCNJ would score three more goals in the second period for the 4-0 win. Taylor Lusardi posted her fourth goal (56:30) of the year while Leigh Applestein scored back to back goals (64:17 & 72:33), giving her eight on the season.

Melanie Bertoli collected a team save for the Roadrunners as she stopped a ball on the goal line in the 59th minute of the game.
TCNJ out shot Ramapo, 24-1 while they collected six corner kicks in the game.
