Box Score Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team defeated NJAC rival William Paterson University tonight on the road, 3-1. The Roadrunners improve to 5-7 overall and 2-2 in the NJAC. The Pioneers fall to 3-8-2 overall, 1-4 in the conference.

Jennifer Stone put the Roadrunners on the board just 2:08 into the game. Stone used her head and was able to redirect a corner kick from senior
Katie Popowych to take a 1-0 lead.
Jackie Gage tallied her third goal of the season for the Pioneers to tie the game before rookie
Campbell Duffy tallied her first collegiate goal of her career. Duffy took a 30-yard free kick in the 41st minute of the game hitting the back of the net. In the first half, WPU held a slight 8-6 advantage in shots while Ramapo recorded the only corner kick in the half.
The Roadrunners would score an insurance goal late in the second half as sophomore Nicole Ninomaya was able to collect her own rebound and put the ball into the back of the net for her second goal of the season (79:15), 3-1.

Talia Auslin tallied four saves in the game while Mary Jane Seiler posted six saves for the Pioneers.
Since 1993, this is only the fourth time Ramapo has beaten William Paterson, the latest win coming in 2007 on the road.
The Roadrunners return to action when they travel to Rowan University on Wednesday, October 16th for a 7pm conference game.
