Box Score Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team fell to NJAC rival William Paterson University tonight, 0-3 24-26, 18-25, 23-25).
With the win the Pioneers improve to 21-6 overall, 3-5 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 15-14 overall, 4-4 in the conference. The Roadrunners will earn the five seed in the upcoming 2013 NJAC Women's Volleyball Tournament. The opening round of the tournament will begin on Tuesday, November 5th as Ramapo will travel to #4 Montclair State University for a 7pm match.
Cathryn Smart led the Roadrunners with 11 kills in the match while
Rachel Selmore,
Sara Pendleton and
Emily Guzman all contributed with seven kills a piece. Guzman collected four total blocks, two digs and one ace while Pendleton added three blocks. Selmore tallied six digs and one block and
Emily Harris recorded a team high 12 digs.
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a team high 27 assists.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they host FDU-Florham and Mount Saint Mary College in a tri-match beginning at 11am.
The Roadrunners will be collecting donations for Dig Pink, an organization that supports breast cancer research and awareness.
