Box Score 2 Patchogue, NY: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team split their matches tonight at the St. Joseph's College (LI) Tournament.
The Roadrunners defeated Sarah Lawrence, 3-0 (25-8, 25-8, 25-10) before they fell to the host St. Joseph's, 2-3 (22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-27, 12-15).
In the first match of the night against Sarah Lawrence, the Roadrunners were led by rookie
Emily Guzman with eight kills. Rookie
Natalia Saavedra posted five kills while sophomore
Patricia Bergamasco recorded ten assists. Sophomore
Emily Harris recorded a team high ten digs in the match.
Against the Golden Eagles, rookie
Rachel Selmore pounded out 16 kills along with 22 digs while Saavedra recorded ten kills of her own and 15 digs. Guzman posted seven kills, three aces, four digs and three total blocks. Harris posted 20 digs while sophomore
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a team high 25 assists and a team high nine aces.
The Roadrunners will take on Farmingdale State at 10am and Wilkes at 2pm on day two of the SJC Tournament beginning tomorrow morning.
