Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swimming team defeated NJAC rival William Paterson University on the road tonight, 181-81. The Roadrunners improve to 2-3 overall, 1-2 in the NJAC while the Pioneers fall to 8-6 overall, 0-3 in the conference.
Kylie Suydam placed first overall in the 1,000-yard freestyle when she clocked in at 11:52.27, while she took home first place in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:44.01.
Lauren Keller posted winning times in the 200-yard freestyle, (2:02.65) and he 100-yard freestyle, (56.89) while she was the lead-off leg in the 400-yard freestyle relay team who placed first in 3:58.77.
Maggie Nagle clocked in at 1:04.10 in the 100-yard backstroke for a first place finish while Ramapo finished 1-2-3 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Megan Fosko took home first place (1:14.44) while
Jill Tracey finished in second place (1:17.42) and
Amanda Wilson placed third (1:18.72).
Jamie Stein placed first in the 200-yard butterfly when she clocked in at 2:25.66 while Ramapo went 1-2 in the 50yard freestyle.
Brenda Slazyk finished first in 25.66 and
Kari Lefebvre placed second in 27.32. Nagle placed first in the 200-yard IM in 2:27.68.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they host NJAC rival Rowan University. The Roadrunners are dedicating their meet to "Swim for MS". The team will also honor it's senior class prior to the start of the meet.
