Box Score Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated NJAC rival Rutgers-Newark University, 3-2 (25-20, 25-22, 16-25, 17-25, 15-11) tonight at the Golden Dome.

The Roadrunners improve to 5-1 overall, 1-0 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raiders even their record to 4-4 overall, 0-1 in the conference.

Cathryn Smart led the Roadrunners in the five game match with 16 kills, five digs and two blocks while Brittney Jemas and Julia Tuzio each tallied 13 kills a piece. Tuzio added 26 digs and seven assists while Emily Harris added a team high 27 digs. Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a team high 36 assists while she also added five kills.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they host the Roadrunner Invitational. They will take on St. Joseph's LI at 10:00 am, Gwynedd-Mercy  at 1:00 pm and Baruch at 3:00 pm.
