The Ducks advance to play #3 Richard Stockton College at #1 Rutgers Newark University.
The score was tied three times before Stevens went up 18-14 with 11:17 on the clock in the first half.
Faith Flannery started an 8-0 run with a jumper (10:56) while
Jackie Jerkovich stole the ball and hit a layup to go ahead four, 22-18 (7:53).
Kelly Haspel nailed a three pointer to take a seven point lead, 27-20 before the Ducks went on a 7-0 to tie the game at 27 heading into the locker room.
The Ducks and Roadrunners hit back to back three pointers to open the second half before Stevens went on a 8-0 run to extend their lead to, 38-30 (17:42). They took a 13 point lead on two made foul shots by Molly Spadaro (11:31), their biggest lead of the game before Ramapo scored three straight baskets to cut the lead to eight on a made basket by
Brittany Howes (9:36). Down ten, 48-38, the Roadrunners went on a 8-0 run capped off by
Alex Milne's jumper assisted by Flannery (5:35) to come within two, 48-46. The Ducks used a 9-4 run to extend their lead, 57-50 (3:11) before Flannery hit a jumper and Milne scored two free throws to come within three with 2:08 on the clock. Stevens led by six with 1:38 on the clock before Haspel and Jerkovich hit shots to come with two, 60-58, with 11 ticks remaining in the game. Stevens hit two foul shots to seal the win and advance to the semi-finals, 62-58
Dawn Garcia and Victoria Webber led both teams with 17 points for the Ducks while Avis Benjamin posted a double double, 16 points and ten rebounds. Stevens shot 45% from the field (21-46).
Alexa Ryan posted 15 points and seven rebounds while Haspel and Jerkovich each posted ten points. Jerkovich added four assists and two steals while Flannery posted eight points, five rebounds and two steals. Ramapo shot 32% from the field (22-68).
