Box Score 2 Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers College tonight, 58-15 in the second game of the 2012 Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament.
Ramapo (1-0) shot 46% (25-45) from the field in the game and 41% (5-12) from the foul line.
Anna Fucci led the team with eight points and three assists while
Larissa Forese tallied seven points and six assists.
Kelly Haspel and
Faith Flannery each scored six points a piece while Flannery dished out three assists.
Tierney Henderson was a perfect 3-3 from the floor to score six points as she pulled down four rebounds and tallied two assists.
Jillian Marino and
Hannah Jensen each scored six points while Marino added three assists.
For Medgar Evers (0-2), Essence Perry led the team with six points while Jaquy Lanot added two points and three assists. The Cougars will play the College of Mount Saint Vincent at 1pm tomorrow.
The Roadrunners will take on Suffolk tomorrow at 3pm, who defeated Mt. St. Vincent earlier in the night, 55-45 to advance to the tip-off finals. Lindsey Rogers led Suffolk with a team high 16 points, shooting 6-11 from the field, while Jennifer Ruys chipped in 14 points of her own hitting 7-14 from the field. The team shot a combined 23-63 (37%) while knocking down 13-31 (42%) in the first 20 minutes of play. Jacqueline Vienneau assisted on seven baskets and pulled down a team-high ten rebounds in the win.
Kelly Fraser netted a team high 16 points and Shannon Koch recorded 13 points for Mt. St. Vincent while Tanisha Montague contributed a team high six assists and four steals in the team's first loss of the 2012-2013 season. Mt. St. Vincent hit a combined 17 field goals on 60 attempts shooting 28% in the game.
