Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated NJAC rival William Paterson University (14-11, 1-7) tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners (13-13, 3-5) earn the #6 seed in the 2012 NJAC Women's Volleyball Tournament.
Ramapo will travel to #3 Rutgers-Camden University on October 30th at 7:00pm for a first round match-up.
Ramapo was led by
Sara Pendleton and
Cathryn Smart who each pounded out 14 kills in the match. Pendleton also contributed three blocks including two solo blocks.
Brittney Jemas added eight kills on 17 attempts as she hit .353 while she recorded 14 digs to lead the team.
Katelyn Ward added six kills and a team high four blocks, two solo in the match.
Kaitlin Mac Iver dished out a match high 37 assists while she led the team to six service aces.
For WPU, Taylor Woegens tallied 18 kills while Erika Masso added ten kills. Liz Dykhouse dished out 34 assists and two service aces. Amanda Morales led the team with 19 digs while Katelyn Malloy added 16 digs of her own.
The Roadrunners will return to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to non-conference foe Lehman College at 12:00pm.
