Box Score Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team played host to #16 Montclair State University at the Athletic Center today. The Red Hawks came away with a 4-0 NJAC conference victory over the Roadrunners. The Red Hawks improve to 15-1-1 and 8-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners fall to 6-9 overall, 2-7 in the conference.

The Roadrunners and Red Hawks played to a 0-0 tie going into the first half. MSU held at 6-4 advantage in shots in the first half while Ramapo recorded the only corner in the half. MSU's Gina Policastro and Ramapo's Talia Auslin each collected two saves in the first half.

The Red Hawks got on the board just 40 seconds into the second half when sophomore Franceca Gibson scored her 11th goal (45:40) of the season, 1-0. Brittany Cooper put the Red Hawks up 2-0 with her first goal of the season as she was assisted by Gibson. MSU tacked on two insurance goal when Melanie Greco and Stefanie Gomes each scored for the Red Hawks to extend their lead to, 4-0.

Policastro recorded her ninth shutout of the season as she recorded five total saves in the game. Auslin recorded seven total saves in the game for the Roadrunners.

Prior to the start of the game, Ramapo honored their senior class. Congratulations and good luck to seniors, Stephanie Andolino, Samantha Belfer, Rebecca Maccia, Catherine Giancaspro and Kaitlin Griffith.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday when they travel to non-conference rival the College of Staten Island for a 12:00pm game.
